The real reason your career matters

Career coaching isn’t really about your career.

Like, yeah, you may land your coveted Staff Software Engineer or Creative Director role at that sexy company that will make all the homies on LinkedIn smash that like button.

But we’re actually here for you and your loved ones.

To explain what I mean, I asked a few of my incredible clients to fill in the blank:

“Since career coaching, I’ve been able to ______ in my non-work life.”

Work can really engulf us.

And it makes sense, so give yourself compassion if that’s where you’re at. Because work pays the bills. It’s a source of external validation. It can be our community when we’re clocking long days. And for many, it becomes tied to our identity and purpose.

But here’s the good news: you’ve got way more power than you think.

Just like my clients who started sprinkling everyday glimmers, finding more family fun time, and building their legacy—you too can shape work to fuel your life, not consume it.

Curious about what this could look like in your life?

The first step is a free 30-minute video call. We’ll unpack what you want, what’s in your way, and how to move forward.

This chat is all about exploring what’s best for you. No “pitch slap,” I promise. If it feels like a fit, we’ll book a follow-up to discuss working together. I can't wait to meet you.

Onward!

Today’s newsletter is a virtual hug. If you’re feeling energized and locked in as you return to work this week, let’s celebrate! While I don’t know exactly what moves you need to make in 2026 to gain energy and momentum, I do know this with 100% confidence: you’re not stuck. Tomorrow can be better. This hug is specifically designed to melt shame. It’s hard enough sensing that...

‘Tis the season when I fly from sunny LA to my brisk New York hometown, perform a song like O Holy Night with my dad at the Christmas Eve church service, listen to a sermon about Jesus’ birth, then head home with my family to enjoy babka, light the menorah (depending on the dates), and pick our Chinese food and movie for the following day. This all makes perfect sense to me. Yet, I often find myself explaining it to folks with cocked heads, trying to parse how someone named Grace could be a...

Happy Thanksgiving, American readers! If you’re vibing on your day off, don’t let me interrupt. If you’re wrapping up that last task, jotting down an idea that hit you while cooking, or using this ping-free time to do some strategic thinking, enjoy. But if your brain is racing at 1K mph about work while you’re trying to be present with your loved ones, let’s have a quick chat and get you outta the spin cycle. We’ve gotta notify your brain that it’s not only okay—but actually good—to put work...
